Matthew Pearson - Digital Campaign Manager, Freemans Grattan Holdings
With nearly 3 years experience in Marketing, Matthew Pearson couldn’t be more pleased that he chose to do a placement year as part of his University course. He never imagined that the year in industry that gave him so much, would also give him his first step on the career ladder.
In the early days Matthew was looking after a range of things from social media to email campaigns, but now as Digital Campaign Manager for Freemans Grattan Holdings his days are filled with improving the customer experience, creating and delivering promotions and merchandising through their site.
Although he has a hugely busy and varied role, Matthew recognises the power of people and is often collaborating with marketing teams from the other brands that sit under the FGH umbrella. This means he gets to share and learn what’s worked, what hasn’t and what customers will be looking for next.
He credits his success to be very organised with a great ability to prioritise work and campaigns, with so many things going on at once this is a vital skill for this role!
We know that the world of retail is changing but Matthew knows that by pushing yourself, gaining relevant experience and insights into retail and working hard, that the importance of digital marketing in the future will just continue to grow and grow.
